After last week technical training on radio installation, studio management, and equipment maintenance at Akol Yam 91.0 FM in Aweil, we extended the same training to Mayardit FM 90.7 in Turalei.

AMDISS, IREX, and Global Centre with support from USAID South Sudan, are conducting a two-day training for journalists. February, 2024

AMDISS, in collaboration with #IREX and @Global Global Centre for Pluralism with support from USAID South Sudan, is conducting a two-day training for journalists.

The “Media for Pluralism” training is being conducted under the theme “Enhancing the knowledge and analytical skills of journalists for covering issues of inclusion and exclusion in South Sudan.”

The #Day1 training commenced today Tuesday, 27th February, and will conclude on Wednesday, 28th February, 2024.

The training topics for #Day1 cover the concept of pluralism, the importance of pluralism, understanding the Global Pluralism Monitor, the role of media in advancing pluralism, media, and violent conflicts, and conflict types, phases, and outcomes.

Peter Gatkuoth is one of the six MDI Alumni who won the award for exceptional writing on the humanitarian situation in South Sudan.
He encouraged his colleagues to devote themselves to educating, informing, and entertaining their audience regardless of the challenges facing the media space in the country.
