For the past few months, Association for Media Development in South Sudan (AMDISS) and International Research & Exchanges Board (IREX) have been working on capacity-building training and technical support to SIMA partner stations across the country through the Sustainable Independent Media Activity (SIMA) project, funded by USAID.
The trainings include;
- Digital content and social media management
- Station management and program development
- Journalism skills, and editorial capabilities, targeting station managers, program managers, editors, and reporters.
The stations that have received the technical support and training are; Voice of Hope in Wau, Mingkaman FM in Rumbek, Singaita FM in Kapoeta, Akol Yam FM in Aweil, and Mayardit FM in Turalei.
Last week, AMDISS as the local technical partner successfully completed journalism skills and editorial capabilities training for two stations: Voice of Hope in Wau and Singaita FM in Kapoeta.
This training aims to ensure these radio stations produce high-quality information and improve access to credible, accurate, and reliable information for South Sudanese citizens.
