Juba, South Sudan – Yesterday, Ayaa Irene, Director of AMDISS and Veronica Lucy, Director of AMWISS presented their Awards for Africa’s 100 Most Influential Women in Africa to the Chairperson of AMDISS, Josephine Achiro.

The two Media Leaders won their awards last week in Kigali, Rwanda at the 4th Edition that took place in Kigali, Rwanda.

Speaking shortly after receiving the awards from the two Awardees, Josephine Achiro expressed heartfelt gratitude.

“I’m deeply honored to receive these accolades from two remarkable women in media,” she said. “These awards are not just personal milestones—they are a testament to the growing recognition of female journalists in South Sudan across the region.”

Achiro emphasized that the awards serve as a beacon of inspiration for young women in journalism and a reminder that their voices matter.

“This international honor confirms that our work is being seen, heard, and valued beyond our borders,” she added.

These prestigious Awards confirm the Awardees status as members of the elite group of African female icons, known as the “SHE ACHIEVERS NETWORK” and recognize their outstanding professional Achievement and contributions across Africa.
