Torit, Eastern Equatoria – Our three-day high-level workshop on sexual and reproductive health rights, women’s voices and midwifery leadership has kicked off in Torit today.
This workshop is organized by the Association for Media Development in South Sudan (AMDISS) in partnership with the Canadian Association of Midwives, CAM/ACSF, Farm Radio International – Radios Rurales Internationales, and Canada under the theme, “TRUST: Women’s Voices, Midwifery Leadership for Resilient Health.”
The training workshop brought together media, health, and gender stakeholders to develop culturally appropriate radio programmes addressing sexual and reproductive health, gender equality, and women’s health.
#Day1 of our Content Design training Workshop on Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights in Torit, participants were able to develop content that promotes Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights while challenging cultural taboos and misinformation.
Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights are human rights. Yet, cultural taboos and misinformation block communities from accessing life-saving information. This activity aims to ensure that communities in Torit can access life-saving health information.
Myths silence, but Facts save lives.
Every person, woman, and man deserves the freedom to make informed choices about their health and future. By breaking the silence, we break the stigma.
