Today, our Director, Ms. Ayaa Irene Lokang, held a productive meeting with the Executive Director and the Advocacy and Communication Officer of TOCH SOUTH SUDAN.

The discussion focused on potential areas for collaboration and capacity-building that will support Kongkoc Radio 100.4 FM in Tonj North County, Warrap State. Kongkoc Radio 100.4 is a community radio station established by The Organization for Children’s Harmony (TOCH South Sudan).

The name “Kong Koc” is derived from a traditional Dinka expression meaning “wait first.” This community-based concept encourages individuals to pause, seek dialogue, and choose communication over violence when resolving disputes.

The radio station serves as a vital community media hub and a platform for peacebuilding. As an organization dedicated to media development across the nation, AMDISS is proud to support initiatives that strengthen local radio operations.

We look forward to collaborating closely with the team at TOCH South Sudan to enhance the quality of reporting and ensure that Kongkoc Radio continues to be a beacon of information and dialogue for its community.
